Heavy-Duty Urethane Cement Flooring at a Kissimmee Distribution Center

A three-day installation combined concrete preparation, drain sealing, a textured urethane cement floor, and two protective topcoats.

An existing concrete floor at a large distribution facility in Kissimmee needed a heavy-duty flooring system for the demands of warehouse operations. Before a new surface could be installed, the slab required mechanical preparation. Several existing floor drains also had to be demolished and permanently sealed, so the work involved addressing the concrete and drains as well as applying a new finish.

The scope covered approximately 3,000 square feet, and the final surface needed to be uniform, light gray, and textured. Drain demolition and sealing had to happen before the new floor, while the full project was scheduled for completion in three days. Coating Designs planned the work around those requirements with a seven-person installation crew supervised by Reinaldo and Paulo.

We started with industrial urethane cement flooring by mechanically diamond grinding approximately 3,000 square feet of concrete. The crew used industrial grinding equipment to prepare the existing surface before installing the new system. We then demolished the designated floor drains and sealed them permanently, completing that work before the flooring installation.

With the concrete and drain work prepared, we installed a heavy-duty urethane cement flooring system with a silica sand broadcast. The broadcast created the textured industrial finish specified for the facility. The light-gray color carried across the project area, giving the warehouse floor a consistent appearance rather than a mix of untreated concrete and finished sections.

We completed the system with two polyaspartic protective topcoats. The installation sequence brought concrete grinding, drain demolition and sealing, urethane cement, sand broadcast, and both protective coats into one coordinated job. Our seven-person crew completed the work in three days, with Reinaldo and Paulo supervising the installation.

The images show a broad light-gray surface with visible texture across the warehouse, alongside blue wall sections, storage areas, and loading zones.

After the installation, the approximately 3,000-square-foot area has a consistent, textured finish. The two polyaspartic topcoats complete the installed industrial flooring system, while drain demolition and permanent sealing remain part of the overall project scope. The finished surface replaces the prepared concrete described in the project details with a uniform floor designed for the demanding warehouse conditions identified for this facility.
